Terrible Two's

My daughter, for the most part, does not throw temper tantrums. Lately that has all changed. She hits and kicks and screams and bits. WOW !!!! She has her dads temper so when something doesn't go exactly how she wants it to go, then she is having a breakdown. She has her temper tantrums at least 2 weeks out of a month, so the good thing is is that she is not like this all the time. I noticed that when she doesnt get enough rest the night before, watch out, she is going to be in a bad mood the rest of the day. My son never threw tantrums or anything like that but my daughter is a girl and thats what we do, throw tantrums. LOL

Stay Away from Laptops

I have had a few laptops in my life and I swear almost everyone I ever had overheated and the motherboard went. After a year or so, the laptop would just shut off right in the middle of doing something. It would not give me a warning or anything. Just shut off. There would not even be "Windows is shutting down". Come to find out the motherboard was going and the computer was overheating. You can solve this problem for a very short time, but sooner or later you will have to replace the laptop. Motherboards are alot of money, so it is just cheaper to buy a new laptop or do the smart thing and get a desktop. You can purchase a laptop fan at radioshack or best buy for about $15-$20. This will double the time your laptop will run, but like I said this is only a short term fix.

AVG Vs Avira (which is best)

I use to have AVG and it worked pretty well for me, until I got a virus that it did not detect. One day I was on my computer and I noticed that my computer was running terrible. I ran the AVG scan and nothing came up. I decided to go on the free windows live one care site and do the free scan with them. It showed I had viruses. I knew a few other people who had Avira and I decided to try it. I uninstalled AVG and installed Avira. I ran the Avira scan and it picked up the virus. I have had Avira now for years and love it. You should never have to pay for virus software. There is a lot of free virus software out there. In my opinion, the best is Avira. Be careful with AVG, some viruses might get through and it will not detect them.

Computer Virus Internet Security 2010

I recieved a call from my mother-in-law a week ago about this software on her computer called Internet Security 2010. I went over there to check it out and I was floored. It shut her computer down. I have 10+ years of computer experience and I am currently going to ITT for a degree in Information Systems Administrator, so I thought this would be no problem for me. I tried to run a virus scan and tried to delete it on my own, but could not. The virus software could not recognize the software and infected everything. I could not get any program to run. So I decided to restore her computer to a different date, but it would not let me do it. So the next thing I did was insert her XP disk and shut the computer off and restart it and completely dump the hard drive and start over. The computer was fine after that, until a few days later she got on her computer and she got the same virus again. I was able to find out why she kept getting the virus. The computer was preinstalled, just like most computers you buy. The company did not put on windows defender, which should have been on there. Windows defender keeps unwanted software from getting into your computer. Make sure you check your computer to see if you have windows defender. It is free to install if you do not have this on microsofts website.

Potty training: What a nightmare.

My daughter will be 3 in a few short months. I started potty training her about a month ago. What a nightmare this is. The good news is she likes to sit on her potty. I have tons of books for her to look at while she is sitting. She has only gone in the potty twice since we started. She will sit there sometimes for 20 minutes and as soon as she tells me she is done and I put her diaper on, she goes to the bathroom. I want to pull my hair out. I know it will take some time. I don't expect her to get it right away. The good thing is that she wants to sit on it. Most kids don't even want to sit on the potty. At least that is a big step in the right direction.
